Funeral Options

When choosing a burial it is important to note that some cemeteries provide plot deeds, which is your proof of purchasing a plot. Some councils however, are just giving you the right of interment. The price from cemetery to cemetery differs greatly.

If you wish to be buried in a cemetery “outside” your rateable area, you will probably receive an “out of district fee”.

Each cemetery in our region regulates what can occur by providing “bylaws”, these are the rules under which the funeral directors must operate. If you request something outside of the bylaws, we will get you to negotiate with the sexton directly.

Cemetery Fees can include – purchase of the plot, maintenance fees, interment fees, lowering device, green matting, extra depth to allow for a 2nd or 3rd interment to take place at a later date, also a grave marker.
