Pre-Payment Options

If you would like to take the next step and pay for your funeral now, there are two options available to do this.

In all cases, monies paid by you are not held by our company.

The funds are never held by our company, nor are the funds in the control of Harbour City Funeral Home or related parties. Harbour City Funeral Home complies fully with the Pre-paid funeral bylaws of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ).

Option One

• Your funeral director will guide you through arranging the funeral you want and explain the services and products available, and the costs involved.
• Once the type of service and cost have been agreed you can pay the whole amount in one payment.

Option Two

• Your funeral director will guide you through arranging the funeral you want and explain the services and products available, and the costs involved.
• You may wish to pay for your funeral by installment. This is done by making an initial deposit and regular installments over 1, 2 or 3 years.

• You have the peace of mind in knowing that what you have planned and paid for will be carried out according to your wishes when the time comes. The money you pay for your pre paid funeral plan is held independently, invested and safeguarded until it is required.
• It is a good practice to keep your contract along with other important documents in a safe place, and inform your family or legal representative where they are kept.
