Caskets or Coffins

What is the difference?  Coffin is the term that has traditionally been used in England and refers to a shaped casket that is wider at the shoulders and more pointed at the feet.  A casket is an oblong (rectangle) shape and commonly seen in the United States of America.  In New Zealand we use casket to describe both shapes as it is seen as a more modern and less oppressive word.

We provide a variety of caskets ranging from solid timber, particleboard MDF*, carboard and bamboo. 

We also stock metal and wooden American-style caskets. 

The standard size is approximately 1.85m (6') in length from interior head to interior toe.  Oversize and undersize caskets are also available as required; and a range of small caskets for children.

Matching urns are availabe if requested for most of the caskets shown below.
