Glenn Morton

Funeral Director

Glenn grew up in the Manawatu and attended Palmerston North Boys’ High School. He later pursued tertiary education at Massey University, initially starting with a Business Studies degree before successfully completing a degree in Computer Graphic Design.

After graduating in design, Glenn spent two years at a print bureau in Auckland. He then returned to the Manawatū, where he worked for the next 12 years, designing for some of New Zealand’s leading cattle breed associations, their members, and various local commercial clients.

Glenn has always had an interest in the funeral industry. Following the passing of his partner’s mother in 2023, he found an opportunity at a Wellington-based funeral home. This prompted a move to Wellington, allowing him to support families coping with loss while creating meaningful farewells that honour their loved ones.

When a position became available at Harbour City Funeral Home, closer to his community, Glenn eagerly embraced the opportunity to enhance his professional experience and knowledge.

He believes that death is a part of life and, once accepted, enables us to truly appreciate every moment we have. As he puts it, “Memento Mori, Memento Vivere.”
